Brought together by two classic car enthusiasts, Ponny and Sean, P.S. Bubu is a vintage car themed restaurant in Taipei, established in 1999. Back in 2012 when we were in Taiwan, my girlfriends and I specially made a visit to check this quirky restaurant out!
Boy, we sure gushed over how cute the whole place was! Everything in this restaurant is car-related. From the entrance to inside, even the washrooms! At the dining area, real, vintage cars were cut up and fabricated into seated areas with dining tables and sofas.
Take a look at this counter! It has an awesome Beetle as its front board, complete with wheels, and the staff prepares your drinks from behind this Beetle.
Other than the classic cars, the restaurant is also tastefully adorned with parking meters, fuel stations and lots of American car license plates. It makes for a very original atmosphere on its own, definitely a car-lover’s dream come true.
This pink Mini Austin is the star of the restaurant– the only whole car at this restaurant. Prior reservation is required if you would like to dine inside it.
The dessert that arrived with its car-themed decoration was delightful! I don’t remember the taste by now, so you gotta go there and tell me!
Love and passion resulted in this little wonderland, for sure!
