I often get asked which camera I use for my trips. For my photos featured on trips from the second half of 2017 onwards, all my photos were taken using this Fujifilm X-T20, with 18-55mm F2.8-4.0. It’s a really powerful camera!
On days that I really want a compact yet still powerful camera, I bring my older Olympus E-PL7 camera out. Plenty of my trips before the second half of 2017 were documented by this baby!
Always inside my travel bag, a Kindle lets me read e-books without hurting my eyes, whether during the flight or some light reading before bed. It’s way more comfortable to hold a Kindle for reading than your mobile or tablet, I promise.
The perfect laptop for working while travelling. The Macbook Air is small and light with a battery that doesn’t run out too fast. My laptop has travelled to at least Santorini, Tokyo, Taiwan and S.Korea with me!
A universal travel adapter that is well designed and dependable. I love that it also comes with a USB version so I can charge other gadgets like my Kindle.
Tell me I’m not the only one that brings a multi-plug outlet when I travel. Or else I will never have enough time to charge my camera, mobile and laptop in time! 😉
I only use Sennheiser’s earpieces, preferring it way over brands like Klipsch or Sony. Sennheiser provides amazing bass in the perfect amount and not overly heavy. Cancelling noise out during flights is really useful, or if I’m listening to podcasts no matter where I am.
Finally, travel bottles that work! Tired of those small plastic bottles that you can’t really reuse and also don’t work well with their stiff bodies. Not with these cute, squeezable silicon bottles. They’re easy to use & refill, and most importantly – leakproof!
Although I try to walk along the aisle now and then during my flights & also do simple yoga stretches at the galley, sometimes it’s just not too convenient especially if I’m taking the window seat. So I take no chance with flights more than 4 hours – by wearing compression socks! Compression socks made from breathable fabric are my preference.
At available airports, I’ll refill my bottle after clearing security, right before boarding. To reduce waste, I carry my own water-bottle, better if it can hold hot beverages for my coffee, ginger tea or simply warm water while I explore a destination.
My hands start drying up in flights. I love having a small tube of hand-cream for easy application, especially for the sake of my fingers and cuticles. In cold weather, hand-cream is a must!
Earplugs help loads for attempts to fall asleep on flights, especially when plane engines can be so loud. Or sometimes, it gets a bit difficult to fall asleep on solo trips. I now carry earplugs on my trips!
I’ve been using Young Living, Rocky Mountain and even Muji essential oils. Containing them in a neat way is tricky, so a sturdy pouch is of great use!
