I went in winter, so Fira and Oia were really empty! Not kidding, lol. Summer will be a different case though.

I’m wondering did you find enough things to do there (that you didn’t end up on the phone/computer etc)?
Since you made a friend while you were there, were there places it was easy to meet people? All images I see are of people in private pools!

Hi Zafirah! My hotel provided airport transfer free of charge and I landed at night so it was pretty dark and I didn’t have time to note anything else, oops! I met a solo traveller in Santorini and she told me she took the bus at the airport in the daytime – you might wanna check up about that and also taxi options.

As for getting around in Santorini, I either walk if it’s walking distance or take the buses at Fira. Briefly covered the transport options on this post, have a look 🙂 –> https://thepetitewanderess.com/santorini-low-season/

The transport options shd be similar by more frequent for May as I went in January which was super low-season. The crowd levels will be different though, fyi!

Yes, i totally get it that its a destination for couples and newlyweds but being by yourself is also good!

Trust me on this one, being with someone else for a long time can take its toll and some alone time is a big relief

Its the complete opposite in Asia where i loved for 2 years in Seoul. I had no choice but to eat alone and travel solo but i grew so much and am truly grateful for that.

Being restless and adventurous, I’d definitely go after what i just read! Beautifully written! Well done.
