]]>I love love love this mosque so much and truly wished I had a lot more time there. It’s also breathtaking at night from what I saw on photos. If I ever head back to Abu Dhabi, this mosque will still be in my itinerary!
]]>Thank you Jason! I just checked the hours and on Fridays, it’s open to public from 430 – 10pm. Such a pity you missed it, but a reason to come back! I had a lot of fun at the desert safari, hope you enjoyed it too!
]]>Thanks for such an informative post. I lived several years ago and had forgotten much of that!
]]>The first time I discovered the existence of this mosque was via Instagram too and I was besotted! The floors indoors were smooth and shiny for sure. Actually, shoes are kept on until you walk more inwards then there’ll be shoe-racks to place the shoes, so that you can walk further in and go to the main prayer (carpetted) hall. =)
]]>Thank you Kelly! I hope your wish will come true soon! This mosque is very pretty to see in person =)
]]>Ya! The place was indeed very clean and beautiful, must be the efforts of the staff! Thank you for coming by =)
]]>Thank you Urska! Honestly, it’s very hard to get a bad photo there; the place is that gorgeous!
]]>Thank you so much for the compliments, Midori! *blushes* The dress code is the most important step to go through for planning a visit (other than how to get there). It was a fun experience to put on this traditional look for the short time too!
]]>The carpet is one of the main highlights because so much effort went behind it, like a magic carpet! Actually, I’d refrained from putting too much info about the mosque as there is just a lot to shout about. The mosque must be seen in person to be believed.
You live in Dubai? Cool! I was in Dubai for a few days as well. Still not enough time though to cover all the sights!
]]>Yeah Sheikh Zayed Mosque is indeed a masterpiece! I would love to see Taj Mahal for myself one day too!
]]>Thanks so much Maartje! Agree that the color combinations are really lovely to see! Aye aye to no skinny jeans.. nothing body-hugging =)
